Hawkinsville High School has been in its current location since 1975.
The enrollment is approximately 450 students in grades 9 – 12.
We offer two programs of study – college preparatory and technical
preparatory – which prepare our students to continue their education or to
enter the workplace or military service. Some
students also participate in postsecondary options at area colleges and
technical colleges. Additional
options are Youth Apprenticeship, Diversified Cooperative Training (DCT), and
Community Based Instruction (CBI). These
programs are work-based programs coordinated with local business partners.
Our students also have many opportunities to participate in
extracurricular activities in the areas of sports, clubs and service
organizations, academic competition teams, literary events, band, and yearbook
staff. Parent organizations such as
PTO, Big Red Boosters, and Band Boosters provide strong support for our school.
Academic programs, work opportunities, and extracurricular offerings
provide our students with a comprehensive high school experience.
