Teacher of the Year 2022

Pulaski County Schools 2022 System Teacher of the Year is Kevin M. Morrison. Mr. Morrison is a math teacher at Hawkinsville High School. The subjects he teaches include algebra I, geometry, algebra II, and pre-calculus.

Mr. Morrison was an honor graduate at HHS. He attended college at Middle Georgia and Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for 13 years as an engineer for three different companies before entering the teaching profession. He began teaching math at PCMS in 2005 and completed the TAPP program to earn his teaching certificate. He taught at PCMS for 12 years and is currently in his sixth-year teaching at HHS. Mr. Morrison’s experience as an engineer helps him to convey the real-world applications of math to his students. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Morrison has led the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is the Math Department Chair. Both of Mr. Morrison’s parents, Mac and Roberta Morrison, were educators at HHS. His wife, Karen, is the music teacher at Pulaski County Elementary School. He has three children (Kourtney, Kody, and Kayleigh) who are all honor graduates from HHS.
