Principal’s Message

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Pulaski County Elementary School, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year!  For returning families, I look forward to seeing you all and continuing to serve you, your children, and the entire Pulaski County community.  For families new to Hawkinsville/Pulaski County, I am excited to meet you and your child.  Our staff and school community are all committed to providing the best educational experience possible for your child(ren) here at Pulaski County Elementary School.  Our goal is to empower students with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at PCES by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. There will be many opportunities for parental involvement throughout the school year.  Our plan is to return to pre-pandemic days and enjoy school events such as Stars’ Café, Student Showcase, Literacy Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Field Day. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be active this year, and we encourage all families to join.  We cannot do the work we do without you, and each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership.  We are so fortunate to have a wonderful parent community, and your support makes a huge difference. Thank you for your commitment to helping make PCES an amazing place for students to learn and grow!  Notifications of upcoming events can be found on our PCES Facebook page, school website, Remind app, and via the Pulaski County Schools app.

All of us at Pulaski County Elementary School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever.  We will continue to provide rigorous and meaningful academic experiences for our students.  We embrace the opportunity to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

The information in our school handbook provides a summary of our school procedures, student expectations, and guidelines.  All students and parents are encouraged to read and reference this document throughout the school year. The handbook is available on our school website.  If you would like a printed copy of the handbook, please contact our office at (478)783-7275.

My door is always open, and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you may have during the school year.  I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at PCES meet his/her goals and have a successful school year!
